Curatorial introduction

Tabletop Material Studies focuses on bowls, trays, plates and low vessels in which proportion, edge and surface are the primary design events. Metallic interiors, rough rims, mineral-like textures, soft asymmetry and tonal contrast turn familiar tabletop typologies into small material compositions. The collection is curated for use in layered interiors where everyday-scale objects can introduce texture, reflection and craft without overwhelming the surrounding architecture.
