Architectural Memory

Curatorial introduction

Architectural Memory examines how arches, windows, lattices, muqarnas-like geometries and structural silhouettes can be abstracted into contemporary sculpture. Rather than reproducing historic forms literally, the works isolate architectural ideas—threshold, enclosure, repetition, façade and ornament—and reassemble them as freestanding or wall-based objects. The collection positions architecture as a repository of cultural memory while allowing each work to remain materially and formally contemporary.
